My kids like some electronics too but they also love to do things outdoors. I think it is because we (hubby and I) do things with them. We are always saying - lets get outside. Lead by example I say!

The biggest question is, do you live on a well-traveled road/street? If so, I would put a sign up on the pop-up. I would pop it up too. That way anyone that stops to look at it can actually see it.

Ha! Funny. Not the back of the car - the rear. There is a dent in the drivers side back door. He said the deer came out of nowhere and it hit him. I say he hit it. No, he did not bring the deer home. I agree though, expensive ammo!

That was really cool. I am so glad it has warmed up here. Today we are supposed to see 40 degrees! Tuesday morning it was -6 degrees! Over the weekend it is supposed to be 50 with rain!

My hubby cuts up fresh garlic, onion and peppers and then tosses the venison on the slow cooker. He adds a touch of Italian dressing to the bottom. My daughter goes wild over this.

Grrrr! My hubby took my car this morning to breakfast at the fire station. He came home and he hit a deer. My car was the ammo today! Not the way I want to get a deer. Lucky for him there is only a dent in the rear.

What a great suggestion. I know all of the kids in my family (cousins, etc.) fish. We did when we were younger. I think being outdoors is a great thing for all kids. I love the sound of this fishing derby!

Oh I'm not quick to judge. The dogs I am talking about are never let loose. I see them in the same spot day after day, night after night. It is like the owners forgot about them. You can see the grass all run-down where they run every day.

My dad gave my husband 5 boxes of .22 bullets for Christmas. I think he said he bought them at a gun show a couple of months back. They were pretty expensive but he knew he wouldn't find them elsewhere.

My hubby is freaking! He wants to go ice fishing while he is off on vacation. I told him it's too soon to ice fish. I don't think people usually go until late January. Our temps have just been too warm here.

We do hike during the warmer weather holidays. In the winter months we don't hike very often. We usually go tubing and sledding instead. Anyone go tubing or sledding?

The kids are off on winter break now. We might as well call it spring break! It was 65 degrees today. The sun melted all the snow too. We were going to go tubing at the local park today. Oops - there is no snow.
