    Breakfast idea

And I'm the complete opposite... the very best breakfasts for me include an egg and toast and if I'm lucky, some kind of meat. :tinysmile_fatgrin_t Not too fond of scrambled, though, I must say.

    Antietam... Just Returned

Just checking in today to see if there have been any replies to this one... we've planned a return trip in a few weeks and I'd love to hear of some new things to do.

    Wide Open Spaces Near Savannah?

I'm going to eventually be traveling through Savannah and stopping there for a couple of days. Are there any good trails or parks, etc. away from the bustle of the city?

    Hot dog toppings

Whoa, scratch this... I have to change my story on this! After all these years of refusing to put mustard on a hot dog, a few days ago I received a tube (yes, tube!) of sweet mustard imported from Germany that I ordered and it's soooo good! I ordered it with Beerwurst and pumpernickel also...

    Ice cream

Well now that's the coolest recipe I've seen in a very long time! It really only takes 5 minutes? Amazing!

    T shirts, cotton or synthetic

Cotton... but not just any cotton. Manufacturers even treat "100% cotton" differently, I've noticed. The best t-shirt I ever had was sent to me from Germany... it was all cotton, but sooooo wonderfully luxurious and I've never found one to match it in this country.

    Favorite Place to Hike

Yes... I'm SO ready to go back! If I'm not mistaken, there are parts of it where you can see as far as the Great Smokies... but I'm not sure where that is. It's just so breathtaking up there... first time, though, I got fogged in and couldn't see a thing. :tinysmile_grin_t:

    Pain from the bike seat

Sounds to me as if this might be a good place to start, yes. Along with the seat adjustment. It could make a difference with the tailbone pain to sit at a different angle than the one that is causing pain.

    Favorite Place to Hike

Easy question to answer :tinysmile_fatgrin_t ... parts of the Appalachian Trail, particularly parts of Virginia... Skyline Drive area, Blue Ridge Parkway (Shenandoah National Park.)

    Breakfast idea

I've made this... it is like toast and egg all in one, yes. I also toast (in the pan) the circle that was cut out of the bread and sometimes put it back on top over the egg. These are fun... I also flip them over to make sure the top of the egg is cooked, too. Then instead of sunny side...

    Calling all girls!

When I've gone fishing, it was a little mixture of both, actually. I enjoyed being outdoors as long as it wasn't too hot, but I also went as a companion. For the most part it's the solitude and nature I enjoy, not so much the actual sport of fishing.

    Quasi Campers

Well... no! :tinysmile_fatgrin_t Why be tolerant with everyone except yourself? *YOU* deserve the quietness you enjoy as much as they deserve to be noisy. So the solution is to find a camping spot that's quiet for yourself, right? If I like the quiet, I'm not going to choose a...

    Hot dog toppings

Just ketchup and onion for me... I refuse to put mustard on anything. :tinysmile_fatgrin_t Good idea of pre-chopping the onion like that... much easier than taking the whole onion and having to chop it at camp. And when it comes to ketchup and mustard, yes, the little packets are great...

Snakes! Can't We All Just Get Along?

Sounds like a good, healthy fear, Atula. I'm not sure I'd want to faint, though... I like being in control of my surroundings, especially in dangerous situations, so I wouldn't want to lose that advantage. :tinysmile_fatgrin_t

Things you need for wilderness survival

Benadryl is great and I never thought of that... yes for bee stings it would be essential. And considering my daughter has a lot of allergies (not to bees that I know of, though) I guess I should always carry that stuff with us on any kind of trip.

Snakes! Can't We All Just Get Along?

Oh how I hate snakes... totally. I can't identify it for you, BUT you'll probably want to describe it to someone in your area like an extension service or even the game people maybe. I'd want to know what kind it was so that if there are others around, I'd know how to protect myself. I'm glad...

    Mosquito Maddness

I'll have to look for this. The mosquitoes haven't been horrid here yet, but it's only mid July so there's still plenty of time for that to change, unfortunately.

    Quasi Campers

Oh I agree... that's so disgusting... discouraging... and downright rude. It just takes a few minutes to clean up and yet so few people bother doing it. :( As far as noise is concerned, I'd rather be as far from it as possible. I'm in the wild to relax with quietness. If I wanted the...

    Off Clip-ons?

I'll need to check for that coupon because my daughter wants to try them before our next excursion in mid September. I'm not so sure anymore after seeing the precaution list, though... especially the breathing thing with the allergies she has.

Do you hike in cold/winter weather?

Well now I think the operative word there is "usually" Jason! Remember last mid-November? We were in St. Augustine and it was positively freaky with breaking the low temp records. What a disappointment! Cold... well up here "cold" is blizzards that threaten to block the house windows...
