    Finally RAIN!

Where are you guys at that you're so excited about rain? I am too! Got some rain here the Huachucas in Southern AZ. Sadly, it caused some flooding that destroyed some houses in the burned area. They survived the fire, and got leveled by the after floods :(

How long was your last hike?

Did about a short 7 or 8 mile hike in the Huachucas here in AZ. Hiking in deep snow is a work out. How deep was your snow and where are you that there is still an amount of snow in late July!?

    Rain Coat Pack Debate

I just bought a GoLite Trinty off of steapandcheap for $110 normally $270. Have yet to give it a good monsoon test, but I will be going back out again this weekend to give it another shot. P.S I asked a bad question for this thread, I should have just asked how do you pack your rain coat in...

    Rain Coat Pack Debate

So, do you turn it inside out before you stuff it into itself? Inquiring minds want to know (a keg of beer rides on the answer).

    GoLite Badlands Trinity 3L Jacket

Yes I like the company as well. I bought a quilt from them (I will never buy a sleeping bag again) and love it. I hope this rain gear will do good in the monsoons

    GoLite Badlands Trinity 3L Jacket

Anyone have experience with this? Got it on steepandcheap for 60% off at $90. Looks like a great piece of rain gear which is about the only thing I was lacking :)

Mine is a 65+10, not 7500, but it basically is. What makes you think 7000 is the largest?

    Newbie on sunglasses

Steepandcheap dot com always has good sunglasses for great deals. I would say to keep updated on that site until you see something you like and snag it up. A good way to get a get set for atleast half off, sometimes up to 90% off ;)

Weekend in the Red River Gorge

You should be fine in Cliffty, as long as you don't get to close to the Douglas trail. I would recommend cross country travel for camp sites, just don't get lost ;) I like just choosing a neat looking creek to follow up, sometime for a few hours, and you're always going to find a good...
