We recently got this full-size air mattress for our two boys to use in our backyard. Perhaps this might be what you're looking for.

I envy you! I'm still trying to figure out my work schedule so that we'll be able to get out as much as I'd like to this coming summer.

Food - THat you would Have Never Eaten!!!

Dehydrated and freeze dried foodstuff. For the longest time, I was under the impression that anything that's dehydrated won't taste any good. There were a few that I tried that prove me right, but there were a lot that I've tried that actually enjoyed.

spring, allergies, pollen & tent camping

One of my kids has a bad case of allergies to pollen. Before we head out to a camping spot for the first time, we always make it a point to have an appointment with the doctor just in case that he may have to prescribe a different set of medications for him.

    Trees catching fire

Hope no one got hurt. Like what Scotty said, it's really important to really be careful with campfires, especially on a windy day/night. Those tiny sparks can easily become fires especially when there are a lot of dried leaves around.

    packing extra

My wife always has the habit of packing a wee bit too much wherever we go. Used to always tease her about it. On the upside, it always allows us to opt to stay a bit longer if we choose to.

    Camping With Family..!!

Oh most definitely! I'm really glad and lucky that my kids are very much into camping and spending time outdoors. Sure, my eldest would often have her gadgets with her. She's 13. Still, I can't complain.

    Grocery store rubs

I'd agree with Chad as well. My wife would always go and make her own dry rubs. They're cheaper in the long run. At the same time, we can be sure about the taste.

Found a free tents only campground florida

Same here. It would be great to bring my boys out there and really get to experience camping the way how I used to with my dad and grandfather.

    Rappelling Age

For me, it depends on two people. First is the kid, of course. Aside from being responsible and mature, the kid would, of course, want to give it a try. My nephew is 13, and responsible. But he has got this thing about heights, and his mom is quite worried that he might easily panic once he is...

Finding an animal in a cave

Turn around and walk towards the area as quickly as I can. I wouldn't wanna stick around and find out what kind of animal it is.:tinysmile_hmm_t2:

    Fire starters

Haven't tried using a torch yet. But judging from all the comments here, it looks like it's well worth to get out and get one to take along with me along with my trusty Bic lighter and Zippo lighter that my dad gave to me years ago.

    Who taught you to fish?

My dad and grandfather. We'd always go fishing back when I was a young boy. Sad to say, it's something that I still have to continue working on.

How to sew... this could save your life.

Well said, Newanderthal! Learning just the basic stitches to repair rips in clothes and even tents is a necessity whenever you go out camping. It's one of the things I've learned early on.
