Took a short hike on the Cumberland Trail that runs around the Tn River Gorge. We spent the last few days in Chattanooga Tn1634156699153~3.jpg Picture of Cheowa, the otter, posing on the river front at Ross Landing.

It was foggy this morning and we wondered if we were going to see anything on this short hike to the Julia Falls overlook. We drove to the top of Signal MTN where the trail head started at the first overlook. IMG_20211014_081231003~2.jpg sorry the pictures are so blurry. My camera lens is bad. The trail started to the right of the overlookIMG_20211014_081811484~2.jpg old wooden stairs. IMG_20211014_081904098~2.jpgIMG_20211014_081910876~2.jpg these stairs continued for the first 200 feet. Better then scaling down a rope, which I wasn't up to this morning. IMG_20211014_082245486~2.jpg I thought these were challenging enough.IMG_20211014_082003452~2.jpgIMG_20211014_082105924~2.jpg some areas had a cable along the trail.IMG_20211014_082646709~2.jpgIMG_20211014_082721384~2.jpgBig acorns! We got fat squirrels. Oops out of picture room.

Where do I start with you guys?

Roybew - I felt like I was actually on the trail with you; climbing up and down this and that, bypassing the broken footbridge, puffing and panting up the steeps, having a queasy feeling as I gazed out from the lookout. Mighty fine country ya gots down there. I will not tell her you posted her picture either - what's the address again?

Well, "TH" what can we say? Your greatness precedes you and it looks like you are not going to be able to escape the same. And a Tilley is a Tilley no matter what. I have three of them - battered, bruised, beaten, but not broken. :Yo:

Snow is falling at this moment in my neck of the woods. The good kind - gentle and playful.

Roybrew, NDancer, I love when you post pictures, you both live in stunning areas with stunning scenery!

My greatness proceeds me...WOW, I should have gotten a Tilley years ago! Sadly I didn't know about them until you introduced us to them Dancer. I guess you were waiting so long in life to introduce us, what, to make sure I was mature enough to handle the notoriety? Maybe it took that long to get an international background check done?

Snowing here also. We are enjoying a chilly wind with it. Times like this I think of those UK Utubers that talk about being colder than blazes and they report a temperature of 28°C. Our humidity is high today which makes it feel colder than it is. Living on an island with those wet sea breezes, I can understand their complaints!
Good day to you all!
