Longest banana split eating contest

We occasionally go camping over the weekend at a family campgrounds about 80 miles from our home. This past week, they had their annual banana split contest, but we weren't able to go. We decided to rig up our own long banana split with our own ingredients and invited friends and family to join the fun. We used lengths of gutter pipe (yes, gutter pipe) and laid them out on long tables we put together. We then filled the gutter with crushed ice, layered it with heavy aluminum foil and had a bed for the various ice creams we scooped into it. We used assorted toppings, whipped cream, bananas and cherries, letting people add their own nuts at the end, just in case there were nut allergies. What a fun time that was.

I wish my gutters were made out of ice cream and sundaes! How did the contest work, exactly? Hopefully there were no sore tummies afterwards!
