thanks for the video. Nice river with warm water, runouts after the riffles. I am surprised to see so few open canoes. Are there places to camp? Could you make a multi-day trip out of it?

You can do multi-day trips. There is acutally a section above and below the one that we do. That is the section that is most commly paddled as it is about the extent of whitewater. The rest is mostly flat water. You can actually launch where we did and make it all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. I have talked to a few folks who did it. There is a couple of portages around dams. This river is a fork of the black warrior river, which then runs into the tombigbee waterway that takes you all the way down to the Gulf. I want to say it takes a month or two as this is in North Alabama, about 45 minutes north of Brimingham. We had two open canoes that day but most of us perfer Kayaks.
