Default Fishing license prices

This year the Fishing License here went up a ton. I do not mind, it is still not to bad. Are the prices going up everywhere? What do they use that money for anyway?

They use it to make sure we have licenses. LOL No seriously, they do use it in my state, for conservation and then for the fish and wildlife guys salaries. But they do a good job and I don't mind terribly.

Yeah. When the price of a fishing license doubles, shouldn't the fishing get twice as good? The government tells us that they have done great things to improve the quality of our fishing and have cleaned the water so we can fish with confidence and eat our catch Sure. I was born yesterday. You can sell me that crap. I'm stupid.

Here in Texas 100% of all hunting and fishing fees goes into the TPWD coffers designated for (and can not be spent for anything else) wildlife habitat conservation.
I allways point this out to somebody running down hunters and fishermen damaging the enviroment and ask where there licsense is.
Not required to use it and all the money goes directly to a great cause. Where is your hunting licsense??
Never ran into an "Enviromentalist" yet who had one, who had donated one penny toward conservation or even voluntered one weekend to help a local conservation project.

Still 32.50 here for Freshwater/Saltwater Combo. Lobster, Snook, Tarpon are extra still. Although you are not allowed to keep any Snook this year.

Ours are 20 bucks for just fishing license. Seniors and Disabled licenses are free. I don't mind paying so they can clean things up a bit. We have a lot of illegal deer hunting (spotting) and trapping which isn't something I would like to see. If you want a "sportsmans" license, they're $95 but you can hunt or fish for anything.

I can still remember when our fishing and hunting license was $5 for the year. Of course that was when I was a tender youth and fished with my Dad. I don't mind the prices as long as they use it for conservation. What I mind is when they use the money to hire more enforcement officers just to check to make sure we aren't cheating them out of money. >

Idaho

Combination Hunting and Fishing, resident, 33.50, Disabled, combo, resident, 5.00; Senior combo. resident 11.50, Military furlough combo, 17.50

Tags, controlled hunt apps, etc are extra

Youth, Senior and DAV get big discount on deer, elk, bear and turkey. But pay same as regular adult on Moose, Mountain goat, antelope, sandhill crane, and bighorn sheep.

Salmon, steelhead require additional permits as do most of the birds.

Ok, that makes sense. I live in a state where there is a lot of corruption. We need some kind of fail safe to force them to use the money for conservation, not to steal and take lavish vacations.
