I originally heard about noodling from a friend of mine who lived in the South. He said guys would come out of the waters with their arms scratched up and bleeding. Thought it was a joke until I saw it on tv.

Jason,
I don't mean to mess with some people's way of life. But gator hunting- catch em on a rope and shoot em in the head from 5 feet. It is effecient, but that is the only positive thing about it.

I disagree. In the first place, there are other ways to catch them. Second, they make nice boots. Third, they are delicious.

Fourth, at least the alligator has a means of fighting back. There is a little bit danger to the hunter there. This prey can harm you. It's not a deer.

Having had gator when I was back in Florida on a business trip I second your comment about gators being delicious. Making me wish I had some right now.
