Default trotlines & catfish

Anyone here running trotlines for catfish? Any luck with them? Any problems catching unwanted fish?

That is about all I run trotlines for and that is generally all I catch. I always do pretty good too. I use bratswurst, liver or minnows as bait and it works great. The stinkier they are the better.

I use liver for baiting out my trotlines. I've saw a lot of jug lines lately too. I usually catch all catfish but every once in a while I find a carp or turtle too.

I also like to use chicken liver. I bait my lines out at night then go check them in the morning. I haven't had any problems catching anything but catfish on my lines. I do have some pretty good size fish that have twisted my lines up that I can't say for sure were catfish though.
