Default What weight line are you using?

In the area where I live, I can get by with anywhere between 4 and 6 pound test. Anything else seems too heavy.

I generally use four pound test and a light weight rod and reel for trout and pan fish. When I'm after something like bass or northerns in the weeds, I switch to eight pound and a medium weight outfit.

I use 6lb. Stren for a lot of my fishing but I like the 10lb. Fireline for Bass. It casts like 4lb monofilament. I also like Spiderwire in 20lb and for bowfishing I use 65lb braided line on a Zebco 808 reel. It pays off easily and doesn't affect the flight path of the arrow.
