Default Anti-hunting

I am not sure if it's just me or not but I seem to be running across an awful lot of people who are completely against hunting lately. It's not like these people are vegetarians or anything so I am really getting tired of the whole how can you kill an innocent aninmal argument. Especially considering that I live in Georgia and there are more deer than people here!

I seem to have run across a few of those lately too. I don't know if it's just because people are starting to get ready for hunting season or what but I am trying to just ignore them!

DH and older DS are hunters...... BUT they eat what they hunt. I for one am only anti hunting if its just for fun and you don't have a purpose for what you kill. Some wouldn't agree with me but thats just my feeling.

I don't think that hunters are the real problem in the world. It's the vegans that are the real threat.

They are running around eating up all the plants! If they keep it up there will be no more oxygen and all the animals will slowly die anyway.

I am certain that plants do not appreciate being eaten alive. At least hunters kill their prey humanely first and don't just walk up and start munching on a deer neck while the deer is still using it.

Northernbushape, that's classic! Maybe we should start a group to get eating plants banned.

Getting serious now, I'd like to know what age the people are that people are running into who are so against hunting. Are they older people or younger people?

Here in my area of Kentucky, I don't know of anyone who's against hunting. Hunting has been passed down from one generation to the next, so it has a long history here. It's not done only for the sport, but because people like the taste of the meat.

I'm not a hunter myself, but I can see that there is a definate disconnect with most folks and their food supply now. Food for them comes prepackaged in a grocery store and most of it is made in a lab.

I am not anti-hunting either. I do think you should only hunt and kill what you will eat, but I personally couldn't kill my own meat. However I do really enjoy eating it. I have often had just that thought about vegans! They think that killing plants is ok but it is still a living thing!

I don't hunt, but I know plenty of people who do. I live in a very rural area and hunting is accepted. I don't know of anyone who is against it, though most believe it should not be done without eating the meat. If the hunter doesn't want the meat, which is rare, there are plenty of others who would eat it.
