| Black Friday Gun Sales Did any of you see any of the articles about high Black Friday gun sales were? I think it was something like 35% higher than 2010. I think it is awesome that people are buying guns, but why on Black Friday? Generally, there aren't any huge discounts on gun prices at least not here there aren't.

All my Black Friday discount coupons excluded firearms and ammo.

| They probably went and got the gun first before hitting Walmart and Target just to get through the crowds.
I bought paint and painting supplies because I was hoping there'd be a sale. There wasn't.

| Increased retail sales are a sign of an economy that is beginning to recover. Unemployment in Nevada is still nearly 13 % but have new restaurants, a new motel, and some new businesses opening for the first time in several years.

| I saw this story in a couple of different places as well and wondered about it. Maybe people are giving guns for Christmas presents? If so, I would really like to be on that list. An AR15 for me please!

I'll take one or two or three too. Where do I sign up?
I did not see any sales locally for guns here.

| There are still a lot of black friday sales continuing even though it is now after Xmas. Now is a good time to pickup outdoor gear for bargain price.

| Article in todays paper on gun sales. December had the highest monthly number of background checks by the FBI ever. It even surpassed the previous high set this Novemeber. A sign the economy is recovering as Ppine suggested? or a sign of the worry about the state of affairs? One third of those background checks were for concealed type models.
