"Hunting" is a very all-encompassing word. You have big game; small game; varments; waterfowl; furbearers; land birds. Shotgun? Rifle? Pistol? Long, recurve or compound bow? Cross bow? And these are just some of the many examples.
Then there is game processing...how to get it ready to cook, or for storage.
A book can be a good starting point. I don't think I've ever seen any one book that covered the points mentioned above, though There are a lot of hunting magazines on the market. Acquainting yourself with some of them can give you some more insight into hunting.
