Default Have You Noticed?

We were out scouting deer tracks yesterday getting ready to set up the tree stand, and I noticed the trees are not colorful at all. We have a lot of maples which should be beautiful by this time but most are just dried up leaves of a light green or brown color. Is this because of the drought?

I am starting to see a little down here, but it is definatly less than normal for this time of year. Dont sure what it is. Someone the other day on here said it was because of the dry summer and wet fall. Sounds good to me, haha

Ours are just starting to turn here. Seems like it is a little later than normal, but I could be way off base with that.

We have some trees that just seem very stubborn this year more than ones in the past. It seems odd, most times our neighborhood turns before the others around us. This year it seems its going in reverse.

We had a couple of rains which knocked a lot of the leaves off of the trees. I think our leaves have as much color as they are going to have. I don't look forward to the wintertime this year. The older I get the more I love the heater and my heating pad.

Yes this year we only had good color in the leaves for about a week, then the cold rain came & they all fell or turned dark. There has been some trees turn a light yellow then do a quick drop in the last week but the amount of trees with leaves is way less than last year at this time.

I hate it too. My wife and I love the color "tour". We usually go driving around to see the trees. It's not good when they just drop though.

Today the Maples are an awesome vibrant red in the NC piedmont region.

Judy Ann, that's what I'm seeing too here in eastern NC. I was noticing this morning on the way to church how beautiful the maples were especially.

Most of our trees are now bare. About a month ago the trees were gorgeous! They did seem to turn a bit early this year and they did not stay as pretty as long. We had a frost and the leaves all hit the ground.
