Default Hunting video games

Are you a fan of hunting video games such as Cabela's, or do you find the experience simply can't compare to the real sport? What is your favorite hunting game to play (if you have one)?

I remember playing one stupid deer hunting game 8 years ago on Play Station and I spent 2 hours searching for a deer. A waste of time.

PUT THE GAME DOWN!
Get out and enjoy the great outdoors like it is intended.
Learn to hunt it will be an experience that no game will come close to.
The rush you will feel the first time you pull the trigger on a deer or squirrel will get you hooked.
There is no game that can equal the feeling you get watching the woods wake up around you.

We got a game at Gamestop just to try it and it was dumb! I think it was a Cabella's game of some sort. I am sure there are probably some good games out there for hunting and fishing though.

Most of hunting happens outside of actually shooting animals. When they call these games "Target Practice" I'll consider them.

What about something classic such as Nintendo's Duck Hunt? Does that hunting video game deserve a place on your entertainment shelf (and in your heart)?

I wish I had the old Nintendo duck hunt game! That may be my favorite video game of all time. As for new games I have never played a hunting game that I really liked.

I bought my nephew two hunting video games for Christmas two years ago. He really enjoyed them for about six months and then moved on to something else. I'd love to find him one that's more adult-oriented. He's 14 now.

Nope, no hunting games at my house. The kids don't like them. We don't hunt either, although my daughter wants to learn. I know my cousins play the Cabela game and they love it.
