| Shooting Range Up to this point, I have really only used my gun while hunting but I just moved and I am about a mile away from an excellent indoor shooting range. I want to try it out but I am not sure my hunting rifle is the best weapon for the range. Any other people use the shooting range? Do you use a different weapon?

| Ranges can vary as much as firearms. Stop and check out their facilities and see if they have what you need.

| I always shoot outdoors but once I did go to an indoor range. I was taking down a tree for a guy who was quite wealthy. He had a big house on the southern Lake Michigan shore. I was taking lunch and he had me come into his basement where he had a pistol range. He asked if I wanted to take a few shots and I said "Sure.". So he turned on the lights. I picked out a pistol and he activated the targets. They were full size pictures of people, guys in suits, real pictures of real people. I said "What the....? Who are those guys?". He said "Those are pictures I took of IRS agents. I had a recent audit and those are the bastards that performed it."
I head shot all of them.

| We have an indoor range near us and I love it. They have two separate sections one for rifles, and one for handguns. They do have a limit on the calibers for rifles though so check first.

| I am a mamber of the local shooting club, we have a real nice outdoor pistol and rifle range.
With only 250 members or so it is seldom busy during the week.

| We don't have to go to the range anymore! Went out shooting this weekend on some family land, and they are cool with us coming out as much as we want. Tornado took out my husband's aunts house this year, but also left a ton of trees to take target practice on. Shot my first 12 gauge...never again.

That is too funny.
There are some indoor ranges here that allow rifles. You will have to call and check like others have mentioned.
