| Antlers are growing Went hiking today, had a big mulie buck stand and watch me while I got my camera out of it's case, turned it on, found the right settings and got my picture. His first forks were out past his ears. If the growth goes well he should be a 34-36 inch typical. If I've seen him I bet others have too. Gonna be a dangerous canyon come October.

| You take great pics Grandpa. What camera do you use? It's gotta be fun watching them in the off season and planning your trophy for the year. Do you have a picture of an atypical that you shot?

| yes, I started a buck album in here but the best ones still have to be moderated. When backpacking I finally gave up on the 35mm and started carrying a little kodak. Nothing fancy.
And thank you for the complement but it isn't that I take good pictures, It's because I have such beautiful subject matter to look at.

| I use a kodak myself, but you have a knack for picture composition. It's not just the incredible scenery. Makes the Smokies look a little boring in comparison at times.

| I watched a nice little whitetail the other night in the headlights with the startings of a rack.

| I've been finding old antlers since I can remember. I have a whole collection of them. I even had stuff made from them, like firestarter handle and a socket for firebow.

| I bet those items are pretty unique. Is there a shop where you can buy stuff made from deer's antlers? I'm sure the price won't be cheap.
