Default Zach's Ten Pointer

My nephew got a big ten pointer today. They love venison and it sure does help with the food budget. For the price of processing he got his entertainment for the day, got to practice with his rifle and got dinner for the family for at least a month. Good goin' Zach!

Kudos to your nephew! Times are tough and anyone providing for their family deserves a major pat on the back!

Grrrrrrrrreat. He did better than we did today. My grandson and I went small game hunting today, took the dog along, and didn't see squat. But we had a great time just being together, talking small talk, and trying to rustle up some game.

Congratulations! That is awesome, and it means a lot to know that you have helped to provide food for your family. We struck out yesterday as well, Hiken, but we still had a good time.

Awesome! 1 deer only feeds the family for a month? Wow! We usually get 2 deer and it lasts all year. There are only 3 of us and we eat many other things though. Is he going to process it himself?

There are quite a few people that one little deer has to feed. He takes it to the processor to get it done. There are two grown girls, one brother plus the girl's boyfriends who are usually there for dinner. His wife, his mother in law and his grandmother and grandfather in law. There is also an aunt, a cousin and his sister and whoever else decides to show up at meal time. They have a full house of extended family for most meals. I'm going to try to put the pic up. The reason I didn't include it the other day is I couldn't figure out how to do it. Zach's Deer.jpg

I think I have it now.

Nice deer. Tell him he's gotta learn to cut it up himself. It's just part of the fun of deer hunting. I like doing it myself. then I take the trimmings to a butcher to get burger or sausage, or bologna, etc... made
