Hi...

Hold out a steak in one hand, and have a club in the other. "Here, foxy, foxy, foxy".

NOTE:

"Pathfinder", who is now posting on this forum, is NOT Pathfinder1, which is me...!!

Most fish and game agent do not have time to trap "nuisance wildlife". If you need to trap something, do it yourself. Sometimes you can borrow traps from fish and game. If you are going to raise chickens, put them in an enclosure at night that a fox can't penetrate.

You can learn a lot about a society by how they treat their wildlife (and domestic animals). In most of Italy, there are two types of animals, rock piegons and feral cats. They have eaten or killed off everything else over the centuries.

So....exactly what are you saying here?

As more and more woodland is giving way to pavement, buildings and roads, it's little wonder that wildlife shows up elsewhere. I'm noticing more deer in the populated areas of our city over the past few years. The times have changed things.

Dino,

Since about 1900 America started a remarkable conservation movement that has been imitated by other parts of the world. Game populations are owned by the public and regulated by the States. That is a radical departure from the model in Europe. We have many great success stories in restoring animal populations and habitat. Groups like the Rocky Mtn Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited are great examples. Our farms are more humane. We have many no-kill shelters for domestic animals. Now if we could just stop going to war so much..

EDIT- No harm, no foul.

Sorry, ppine. I was confused by your inference to Italy and the society therein. Obviously there was no slur intended. But, as I am sure you are well aware, it is easy to take things out of context or misconstrue an author's or speaker's intent from an unfortunate choice of words.

Thank you for the clarification.

SSS rule (shoot, shovel, shutup)
You have to love this one. Okay - the fox has left the area! on his own I should say. We do have coyotes too. They scare the crap out of me too. We live between 2 wooded areas. You can hear them calling each other at night.

I'd take 1000 foxes over 10 coyotes anyday.

Campclose,
Why are you so afraid of coyotes?
