Roadkill

I didn't even realize that we had so many possums in my area, but now I am seeing a lot of them in the road, having been run over by a car. I also noticed three dead squirrels within a couple of feet of each other in the street. Is there a reason, in general, for so many small animals to be out on the road? Is it "roadkill" season?

It can be odd to actually see dead possums by the side of the road. This is because a lot of times a possum will get ran over and still somehow get far enough away from the road, in to the bushes, before they die. It is spring though, and people are starting to want to get out. Increased the odds of hitting them.

I'd like to say it's spring....migrating time, but with another snow last night......

I took out a bunny at about 70 last week.
Its just darwin's way to thinning the herd haha.
