How has the flats fishing been for the fishing crew here? Usually this time of year I go freshwater, but I'm really wanting to get the kayak out into the Gulf. Should I make it an exploring trip or the fish still biting good?

Depends on what part of Florida you are fishing. We fish the Gulf all the time and have been catching some nice speckled trout and reds. So where we are the fishing is pretty good.
Haven't been up that way in a while but we went fishing the other day (mentioned in another post) with some friends and did really well with the speckled trout and reds.
