| Grumpy Old Men/Women Social Thread What is it about getting out and about in the summer that makes us ponder our own mortality?
One of the differences that turning 55 made for me was looking at the bucket list and making a few adjustments, but anytime outside just makes me more grateful for the splendor of our universe and yet another trail to wander. When I can no longer hike I'll return to fishing!

| I'm 57 now and still able to do the things I love. Got a nice long backpack trip in Memorial Day week, and an 11 mile canoe float Father's Day. Still hoping to get couple weekend car camping /hiking/ fishing trips in this summer. Already counting the days til a weekend flyfishing/backpacking trip at the end of September.

| WVbreamfisherman, How does that new kayak of yours handle in the water? Are you able to fish from it?

| Hi...
This month the two numbers in my age will total 11.
Ain't ready for the rocking chair on the porch yet, though. But, will be doing less UTE camping and maybe more fishing. Will always be fiddling around with something, though.

| I'm only 33, or is it 34, well I'm in my 30's. But I'm out of whiskey, well, bottles I will open. So can I have the grumpy part?
Also, I'm not ready to give up fishing for hiking, why can't I have both?
