| I've heard from a couple of folks that might be able to stop by and visit this barrier island. I'm excited to see others interested in checking out an area that I love, the coastal Carolina's. For the cyclist, there are lots of country roads leading to many sites of interest from the Civil War and nearby islands with miles of trails especially for biking (Hilton Head). I can loan my GPS to anyone needing guidance to backroads and suggest a couple of places to stop for a bite while spending the day cycling and sightseeing.
For those that want to surf fish, backwater fish, go crabbing, or fish from canoes and kayaks the possibilities are very close to the campsite. Get a fishing license. Trails abound for hikers with lots to see from flora, fauna to Civil War sites and old antebellum remnants from post Sherman days.
I am a little excited since the people that could show up are Dutch oven pros, but even more so to finally meet folks that remain faceless, but have helped me enjoy my outdoor camping and hiking adventures with their help and guidance over the past couple of years!
Please PM me if anyone else is interested and we'll start swapping information soon!
