Hey Yankee ( Technically Southern Indiana) Going to do a 4 day backpacking trip for New Years. Going to go to Big Frog on the Tn/Ga border. Looking at temp history I am read 40 to 50 during the day and lows on the mid 20's at night. Does this sounds reasonable? We will be camping at 2500 ft elevation and doing day hikes up to 4300. Was wondering if these temps may be a bit optimistic.

Those temps sound reasonable as an average. Obviously it could be warmer/colder if a front comes through but those temps sound about right.

Down here we consider interstate 10 up north I aint slow just not around much. and with that in mind I ship out early tonmorrow for a month long boat ride, so see yall next month, till then may God bless you and yours.

haha. HOTB= Halloween on the Bayou. An annual camping/kayaking event in the Louisianna swamps. Last year was my first year but it has been going on for years.

Sounds fun, met some of those bayou boys when I was down there a couple weeks ago. They do seem to know how to live and have fun.
