Default The Life Of Julia

Has anyone else seen this yet? This is an attempt by the President to show how his policies affect the life of one woman, and what she stands to lose if Romney were to be elected.

I haven't seen this; I've never even heard of this. Is it a televised ad campaign? Where could I watch it at? (YouTube?) I'm curious to see what the president has to say about how his policies affect women, and how much worse (I'm assuming) he thinks it'll be if Romney is elected.

Pretty biased.

Gee, whatever did we do to survive before we had President Obama and the federal government to take care of us?

Does Julia get a free cell phone too?

Try clicking on the word "this" in my post. That will take you to the Obama re-election website. I'm not sure Julia qualifies for a free phone...I think you need food stamps for that .

The first time I read the post, I didn't even notice the slight color difference between the word "this" and the rest of the post... Now I just feel dumb!

The Life of Julia is definitely biased... That's putting it NICELY. I like how it says what "could" happen and what "might" happen if Obama isn't re-elected. I also like how Obama has conveniently taken credit for milestones in women's rights that didn't taken place during his administration. Like Lamebeaver said:

"Whatever did we do before we had President Obama?"

That doesn't bother me as much as Cheney's terroristic threatening (well, he appears to meet 4 of 5 criteria Making a Terrorist Threat Lawyers | LegalMatch Law Library )
Quote:
A November win by Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry would put the United States at risk of another "devastating" terrorist attack, Vice President Dick Cheney told supporters Tuesday.
Kerry's running mate, Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, responded by calling Cheney's comments "un-American."
Cheney told Republican supporters at a town hall meeting in Des Moines that they needed to make "the right choice" in the November 2 election.
"If we make the wrong choice, then the danger is that we'll get hit again -- that we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States," Cheney said.

You forgot the free birth control.

I do think the entire concept is an insult to women. Julia comes from nowhere, has no parents or siblings, takes advantage of every government program, has a kid but no husband (What was the free birth control for?), doesn't seem to have any permanent relationships with anyone, and if that's not enough of a fairytale, retires and donates her time to a community garden although that is undoubtedly because social security doesn't pay her enough to eat.

Are women actually vapid enough to consider this an idyllic life?
