Jetski

From the beach, I've seen some people riding in jetskis, and they look like having much fun. Has anyone here tried riding jetskis? How does it feel? Is it safe?

I do believe they are fun BUT... many boaters and kayakers do not like the way people who ride jet-skis. They tend to come way to close to the boats wake, ride way too fast, turn in front of others. I know all this sounds negative as all the above has happened to me and others. All it takes is a few bad apples to spoil the bunch and it seems as there are a lot of bad apples using things. But if used PROPERLY and SAFELY they are really a lot of fun. Around here there are lots of places to rent them you could try it yourself for an hour or two.

Well, there are jetskis and then there are wave runners, right? If I'm not mistaken, you stand on a jetski and sit on a wave runner. Either way, I have been on the ones you sit on. Soooo much fun! I could do that all day long. I found it was pretty safe because you wear a bracelet attached to the ignition key. If you fall off, it pulls that out and cuts the motor.

They are great! I've never rented them, just ridden on friend's jet skis. We don't ride at the beach though. We usually go to a lake.

Like failghe said, jetski are great as long as they don't annoy other people who wants calmer waters.

I have used rented jetski before and it was really fun. I will do it again if given the opportunity.

Some people who love thrills and speed on the waters love riding in their jet ski, the only thing is that they are already trained to handle it on their own to avoid accidents.
