Camping stoves What camping stove does everyone have? I've recently invested in this stove - Campingaz Camping Chef Stove - £44.99 - from GO Outdoors.co.uk .. and I am reasonable impressed with it and would happily recommend it. The two main aspects I like are the fact it has a grill and is relatively compact because as it mentions in the description, it can be folded to brief case size.

I am currently using an alchahol fuel stove. These things are great. 5 ounces for stove pot and pan, and you can buy fuel at any grocery store. It burns 90% rubbing alchahol. It does not burn as hot, but it will still boil water, and I can make a pretty good grilled cheese sandwhich with it.

I have an MSR whisperlite that runs on regular gasoline, alcohol or coleman fuel. It's a great compact stove.

Oh no no no no! The whisperlite will not be good if you put alchohol in it. It burns too hot and dries out the seals. Small potential for an explosion as well. The whisperlite internationalk is made to burn white gas which is also known as coleman fuel in some circles. With the included K jet you can burn Kearosine, Auto gas, and Deisel fuel as well.
