Default Social camping

Many campers enjoy socializing with a small group of fellow campers. Such groups will arrange events throughout the year to allow members with similar interests or from similar geographical areas to get together. This allows families to form small close knit societies, and children form lasting friendships.

Anthing yu have done..pls comment on this

A bunch of friends of ours get together for one weekend during the summer and go camping. It is a lot of fun and it's weird after so many years to see the group grow with kids and new friends added every year.

We live on the coast, but we lived in a nearby city for ten years, and made loads of friends at a company my husband used to work for. Several times a year a big bunch of them camp out at a park close to us. We spend the day having fun in the forest and lake with them, and into the night, enjoying a killer campfire and yummy (veggie) camp stove food. When it comes for our friends to bed down, we head for home (and our electricity, indoor plumbing, and soft bed). Best of both worlds, if you ask me.

I really love the idea of social camping...especially becasue you are doing what you love to do with a groups of people who are as passionate about outdors as you are....and yes these friendships do stay for a long long time

I hate the idea of social camping, I want to be just with my family and maybe close friends. I camp to get away from people!

Actually the people we do camp with are close friends and family. We do go with just the hubby and the boys also a few times a year and that is a lot of fun also.
