| What would be a really weird thing to have for dinner on a camping trip? We're going on a camping trip and we need to think of something really weird to have for dinner. We'll have access to a camp stove and we won't have to carry food far so weight doesn't matter. We just want something really weird or a weird combo to have. Any suggestions? | ||||||||

| My family and I went camping this past Memorial Day weekend. Saturday we went out of the woods to go buy some steamers. Well, the store didn't have any. We ended up walking out of the store with 5 lobsters. Yep! Lobsters..lol They were really good, don't get me wrong. It just wasn't the easiest thing to do at camp. We ended up so messy and everything smelled like lobster. We had fun trying to get them open without the proper utensils though. I even tried to take and ax to my lobster..lol | ||||||||

So is the ax how you were able to open them or did you find something else to do that?

My next idea would be a eat only what you catch. But that only works if you are a hunter and/or angler. I've known people to do this, and they say that lead to some interesting dinners. Squirrel anyone? How about fish taco's? That being said. If I had a choice of anything to bring, weight being no object. I would love to bring either half or whole pig. Just roast that over an open fire.

| I could go for fish tacos... if I had the right sauce with me. But squirrel... eeeeew, no way. | ||||||||

| Eww...fish tacos? Just doesn't sound at all appealing to me. Those two things just don't seem to go together at all. Lobster would be good though but definitely the weirdest camp food I have heard of so far! | ||||||||

| The last time I went camping, my wife and I had each a small cornish game hen. It's pretty cool to cook a whole (albeit small) bird over a fire. It's about the size of a softball. | ||||||||
