Default Anyone Ever Heard Of A Two Piece Canoe

When we go camping we slide our canoe inside our toy hauler because I don't want to put it on a roof rack on my pickup. The canoe partially goes into our living quarters. We unload it when we get where we're going. But I've been wondering if there is such a thing as a two piece canoe. I've seen a bit of talk about this on the web, but I've never actually known anyone who has had one. Anybody have any information about this?

There are Foldboats and other somewhat servicable boats. Aluminum and early fiberglass boats came out of the mold in 2 pieces and connected along the keel.

Now there are great inflatable kayaks like Aire, canoes with an aluminum frame and a hypolon cover that have been used on many expeditions.

I think it was marketed under the name "Titanic".
