| do NOT buy a pelican. they're made of cheap plastic and will fall apart on you. waste of money. for 2 adults and 1 child, i'd recommend the Guide 147 by Old Town. I paid about $500 after tax, new, and it's great. comfortable seats, stable, very tough and easy to handle. it only has 2 seats, but you can buy a drop in seat for the kid, or have him sit on an ice chest, stadium seat, etc. Academy sells them for about $475.
