Ppine- thanks for the info. My Acadia is a 17 footer, and carries one helluva load, but still handles pretty easily with one person if trimmed right. I love the Royalex construction, even though its on the heavy side. You're right, its not particularly fast, but carries its way pretty well.

The fellow I bought it from used to use it for touring- it's been to Algonquin Provincial Park in Canada several times.

Never cease to be amazed at the variability out there in boats!
