Default What is the diffrence between Kayaking & River rafting?

I’ve never done either and I am considering it. Which one is the most fun and enjoable?

Rafting usually involves a big raft that can fit several people. You usually go to a place rent the raft and have a guide help you navigate the river. Something cheap and easily to do with friends.

Kayaking is different. 99% of the kayaks are single seater. I personally wouldn't hit up any river rapids until I got comfortable with the kayak. Rolling it, getting back in, maneuver, and all the basics. It takes a bit longer, and you will still need to find someone else to go with. Never go alone.

I sugget you go for rafting forst...as then you would have a group of friends or people familiar with the route with u. Their is also a guide available with the raft who has the necessary skillls to navigate the raft. Once you are totally comfortable with this...you could move on to kayaking....which is mostly done solo.
