where to buy secondhand? Are there any good online sites for purchasing a secondhand boat? I'm looking to get one for Christmas for a family member, but I'm not sure whether or not to look online or in store.

Do you have a trades site for your area? In my area we have a trades site where you can post if you are looking to buy something second hand and it is right in my general area. Otherwise I would probably go to ebay first. Another idea would be to go to your sporting goods store and see if they have any second hand boats for sale. It would be easier to get something close to home.

The only one I could think of is Craigslist.com or maybe e-bay.com. Other then that, check local papers, see if they have a boat sale flyers. Follow us on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/outdoorbasecamp

I would try craig's list or freecycle for websites. You can also check out Play It Again sports stores if you have one near you.
