There's nothing wrong with Thailand. Newanderthal was speaking about a unique form of justice sometimes referred to as "biblical".

I like Thailand, especially the food.

gregkthompson;

The bad thing is, they probably didn't even need the thing. It crazy what people will do just to make them happy.

Hi...

How true...sounds like vandals...it was probably "fun" to them.

Put an ad in your local paper..."Reward for return of missing kayak paddle...no questions asked". (A reward can be something as little as a handshake!).

A thief. I have lost plenty of stuff over the years left in my trucks while on a boat trip. Two years ago took the cake on a trip to Lake Shasta. I am very reluctant to go to Calif except to see relatives in the winter at Palm springs.

People will steal anything that isn't firmly bolted down, and they will start unbolting stuff (with a stolen wrench, most likely) if you give them a chance.

When I first moved to the US, during the first year, nearly everything I owned was stolen. One item at a time. If it wasn't bolted down, they stole it, and if it was they stole it anyway.

I moved 75 miles south and now I can leave anything in my yard and nobody touches it. It's amazing what a difference you can have from one town to the next.

The worst part is that it was the rich kids that were the thieves. The wealthy kids would steal anything. It was the poor kids like me that wouldn't even dream of stealing from somebody because we understood how difficult it is to replace something like your heavy winter coat when you can barely afford food.
