Default Anyone watching the storm coverage?

I had it on earlier today and it looks like New Jersey is getting slammed. The reporter from CNN could hardly stand up in the wind. Mother nature is amazing.

I'm sitting here in the middle of it. I can here all kinds of things blowing around out there. Am watching some trees bend and wondering if they will be broken by morning. Luckily we still have electric. It shut down a couple of times but came back on within minutes each time so far.

Hikenhunter, I'm glad you still have your electricity. I'm sitting up worrying about all the people up north. This one really does sound awful. Stay safe and warmly tucked in.

I haven't been watching too much of the coverage, other than what our local news happens to show. I hope you all are staying safe.

Thanks for your concern guys. I had a pretty sleepless night but we got real lucky. My power never went out even though some people down town lost their power for a couple hrs. I expected the worst when day break came but as wicked as the wind was last night we mostly had a few tree limbs down, the leaves that just started turning have been stripped from the trees here so it looks wintery for lack of a better word. Property damage in this town seems to be minimal, and there is no real water damage here. The strange thing is that 10 miles east of here and 10 miles south of here people are without power and property damage is much worse. East of here you run into the coastline and we have been following the reports of damage all along the coast. I guess we were just far enough off the coast to not have to deal with the devastation those people are dealing with. May God be with them.
