Default Deer in the subdivision

Wow, this summer, I have really noticed an increase in the deer population. We have deer in our backyard almost every day now. It use to be every once in a while but now I am starting to be concerned about the high population.

And people want to stop others from hunting - that is the main reason that they hunt. Food and to stop an overpopulation of deer. They can cause a lot of problems and ruin things too. They have been eating my garden!

Possible too there is a large predator and the deer are coming in for protection.

In the far south suburbs of Chicago we are getting this a lot. The deer in the local forest preserve are so abundant they damn near travel in large packs. The animals are always getting hit by cars or you're finding them in your yard eating what ever plants you have. The coyotes are getting bad also, some communities are warning pet owners to keep a close eye on pets in the yards. There were times in the past when I would hike cross country in these preserves and find areas where poachers dressed out their kills. There was a large area at one time where it was a mass of remains. Kind of creepy!

Don;t get me wrong I think they are very pretty creatures. However here in southern Indiana many classify them as rodent there are so abundant.

I think if I saw deer hoofing it up on my yard in a pack I might just run outside with the first thing I can grab. They are crazy scary on the roads here but we have never had anything like what you guys and gals are talking about.

Deer are coming into the neighborhoods because there is an overpopulation and not enuff food. You need to complain to the city, county, State. Most people don't know that Whitetail deer kill more people and cause more damage in auto accidents than any other animal.
