Default Favorite Weather Forecast?

What is your favorite website to check out for weather forecasting?

I ask because my two go to's are at odds with each other at the moment for the weekend. The Weather Channel gives a more sunny outlook while the National Weather Service is giving a more rainy outlook for the weekend.

Other site like AccuWeather are picking something in between. Something like sunny with a chance of storms.

Personally, I'll go with the in between forecast in this situation, just because in this area of the woods it seems like there is always a chance of storms. I can't count the times I've been out on a Sunny day only to encounter the brief pop up thunderstorm that sticks around for fifteen minutes, then it's sunny again.

Trust the National Weather Service and the NOAA before anyone else. The Weather Channel is weather light. It is always best for planning purposes to look at several sources and assume that the most severe forecast is the closest to what you can expect. Remember that weather forecasting is still an art as much as it is a science.

With practice weather observations are your best predictor of the local weather, especially in the mountains or around large bodies of water. When the wind shifts for example you can tell when a front has passed and predict which part of the low you in by the wind direction.

My favorite weather forecast is 70 degrees and sunny, closely folowed by steady rain.

I learned from my flight training that all weather forecasts are like throwing darts at a target. If I need to know exact details, I use Flight Service. For day to day stuff, however, I like to compare AccuWeather and Weather Channel.

I use the National Weather Service for weather forecasts, they are the most accurate in my experience. I don't worry too much about the weather unless there is a severe weather warning. I don't mind the rain.

I got this thing on my Smart Phone..... I have no idea who created it.
I don't put much faith in it.

Smell the air and watch the sky. Those who have spent their lives outdoors dependent on weather can be as accurate as the best forcasters.

I mostly trust the National Weather Service. I say mostly because their predictions are not always 100% accurate. However, they are doing better than others who predict the weather wrong most of the time.

I've always said that meteorology is not an exact science. I don't put my trust in any weather service.

My favorite forecast is: Looks like that thunderhead is going to blow over to the North of us.

I usually check with the National Weather Service, but I also seek out the local weather for the area I'm visiting. My favorite local area is with WRAL-TV in Raleigh because they have such a good track record for my area.

I like to check Weather Underground, which I believe is fed data directly from the National Weather Service, but I'm not certain. Otherwise, I just watch the local news forecast.
