So much to be thankful for here. A 33 lb turkey home raised by my daughter and SIL is in the oven. A marionberry, a blackberry, a chocolate creme and 4 homemade pumpkin pies ready and waiting. Home grown veggies including some good old Idaho potatoes in various stages of preparation. And the best part.... a bunch of young strappers ran me off from splitting my own firewood. So here I sit while the wood chuckers chuck the firewood into stacks.:tinysmile_fatgrin_

Least I can do now is round up some frosty beverages for the wood crew.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I got in a quick 5 mile bike ride earlier. I am now watching football with the family in a food overload stupor.

Gobble 'til you wobble!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. My dear hubby and I are staying home with just the two of us for a very pared down Thanksgiving. He isn't feeling well so it's a nice break just being by ourselves for a day. Have a Happy one guys! It's the official start of the Holiday season!

Today's the day after the big turkey day, and I'm even more thankful today for things than I was yesterday. We were so busy with preparations. Today, I can look back and take a more leisurely approach. Family is still around, and we're going out for lunch at the old hamburger joint. They have the old-fashioned ones. The only time we go these days, because of health reasons, is when family heads into town and they've been missing the old greasy spoon.

Grandpa, will you invite me to your house next year? Sounds like you had a great day. We did too. Lots of family and good food, football games and kids playing outside. We have so much to be thankful for. I have to stop sometimes and just count those blessings instead of getting caught up in the everyday rush of life.
