Haunted House

We are talking about going to one of those haunted houses this weekend where the actors dress up and try to scare you. Has anyone been to one before and what did you think of it? In other words --- how scary is it?

Been to several. Some are better than others, so it is hard to say if the one you are thinking about going to is scary or not. It also depends on the person. However, every time I have been, even if the haunted house was bad or not scary, still had a great time being with family or friends.

I'm a big dude, so when a 5'7" 120lb ghost comes running at me, I don't get to scared.

I still have fun at those things though. I think they are worth going to, scary or not. It's all to have a good time anyway.

I agree with bsmit212, some are more scary than others but the family time is always good.

Well, we didn't get to go. I forgot I had agreed to fill in as a pet sitter for a friend of mine. I'm hoping to try to go next weekend now. I would really like to go on Halloween, but I've heard they are really crowded that night and the waiting line is terrible.

We have been to a few. Remember that many of these things are put on by non-professionals, so precautions aren't always safe. We went in one last year that was pitch dark in places, but you still had to walk through. I could hardly stay on my feet because of rubbery, plastic things they had on the floor I couldn't see. We could easily have had an accident, and I personally thought it was dangerous. I'm not going into another one at my age.
