Default Improving Eyesight by Watching the Sun?!

I just heard and read that watching the Sun during sunrise and sunset can improve your eyesight and get our eyes used to sunlight. I can't believe this to be true.

The guy speaking was an ophthalmologist apparently. At first I thought this was a joke but I Googled the subject and there is some info but I'm still baffled that this might be true.

I can't even be outside without my sunglasses, so I think I will have to pass on trying this one. Bright light really irritates my eyes. If I stared at the sun, I would probably go blind.

I watched a Documentary about this once. It was definitely different. There were theories out there about how sun gazing helped recharge their batteries, and other strange ideas.

Not something I've ever tried, nor do I plan to. I like being in the sun, but I'd rather not go blind staring at it.

Do you mean actually focusing on the sun? This is an interesting idea, I will need to do some research before deciding whether I agree or not. I'm always open to new ideas, especially the ideas which go against the conventional wisdom because I have often found this wisdom to be bogus.

Hmmmm I'm having dinner tonight with some friends and one of them is an eye doctor I think I shall ask what his thoughts are on this. Me personally though I would think that would do more damage then anything else.
