Default Irish jig history question

Is there any truth to this? Paddy O'Donnell opened a pub in Dublin many years ago with no bathroom. And thus the start of the Irish jig.

If an Irishman told you that, you know it has to be true.

There are three kinds of men:
a. The ones that learn by reading.
b. The few who learn by observation.
c. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.

Not sure. But there is this little Irish Pub I used to visit in an area influenced by Irish/Scottish culture. Lots of things like Highland games and other celebrations throughout the year. For St. Patrick's Day they close down the street and hold a big bash. The Irish Pub there removes the tables, and it is just lines to the bar. While they do have a restroom it is small, and there is porta-potties all over the area. And yet I was told the day after the place still smells of urine and some vomit tossed in.

I used to frequent an Irish Pub in Chicago called "The River Shannon". There was a small bathroom intended for "one-at-a-time" use. Nobody danced but there was at least one fight every night. You don't want to aggravate an Irishman when he has to go.
