Labor day plans?

If the rain clears out, I am thinking of either going walking at the park or trying to do some stuff out in the yard (that I keep putting off). What are your plans for Labor day?

We are going to a State Fair and then going to our ballon festival. Every year we have a ton of hot air balloons come to our area. We watch them go up and then chase them.

Got a 7 yr old granddaughter in Colorado we don't get to see enough of. Heading that way. Might visit with her Daddy too if time allows.

Looks like I'll be pretty close to the homestead over the weekend due to my wife's health. Might manage some paddling and a little fishing one day- hopefully it won't be Africa-hot the whole time. On the bright side- squirrel season opens on the 8th! :-D

Was going to cut down some trees, but it looks like we will be getting hammered by some rain from the remains of the hurricane. Looks like I'll be sitting around a lot. I also had plans to go to a WWII re-enactment on Sunday. Don't think that will be happening either.

Don't have any particular plans yet, but might have a beer or two to 'celebrate' the end of our tourist season...YAY...!!

Can't go anywhere for our usual Dutch Oven cooking weekend so we are going to do breakfast and dinner in the dutch ovens at my buddies house on Sat and Sun. Hoping for a little bit of rain before saturday as we would like to get in a short tube float one more time but the closest river is too shallow for tubing at our usual "short run" spots so we will probably just hang out and play some bocce ball or throw some horse shoes or play washers. Maybe We'll get out the maps and plan a few short backpacking trips to do before deer season gets here.
