Our whole family is going to a camping site for a few days. It is always good fun when we get together, I have a good relationship with my cousins and auntie. I'm sure the grill will be firing and the beer will be flowing, good times!

I would love to be watching the hot air balloons. I've always wanted to see the ones in the mid part of our state, but we never have been in the area then. I'm going to visit my 95-year-old aunt who fell and broker her hip.

We don't have any this year which is a first for us. Just too much going on. I am leaving Wed for BWCA and Quetico for a week trip though, so I guess I'll be loading my portage pack and getting some fishing gear together.

Default Labor Day Wkend

I have a couple of different plans in the works. We are either going to dayhike up the Duckabush in the Olympics or head down to Oregon and see Chuck's brother. It's been a couple of years, and none of us are getting any younger. AND why would I miss the opportunity to tell my SIL how much I can't stand her. lol

The Duckabush trail just re-opened after being closed for a couple of years due to forest fire damage. I haven't been on this trail in 13 years. The first 6 miles are in the National Forest, so the dogs can tag along too.

Since I hurt myself in Yellowstone, I've only dayhiked about 2 miles and that was with the dogs, and we picked blackberries at the same time. I think I can handle a few miles in, and back out.
