| My neighbor was attacked by a pitbull This just happened to my neighbor. Lord help me if the dog goes after my kid. It would not be a brick that hits him in the head. There is also a short video on the site Pasco man recovering from pit bull attack NEW PORT RICHEY - For the second time in two weeks, a pit bull has attacked someone in the Bay Area. This time, a man in New Port Richey says he was attacked. "The pit bull went for my right leg here and tried to bite into my leg," said Robert Nigro. "My dog was already on the ground bleeding from it's head and under it's right eye." Nigro said a pit bull jumped a six-foot fence, attacked his dog then turned on him. He said the attack stopped only after he slammed the pit bull in the head. "I was hitting him and hitting him and hitting, and the pit bull finally stopped and just walked out of my yard, leaving my dog a bloody mess." Nigro says he is not the only one attacked by the same dog. Frank Joy said he had a run in last April. "The dog got loose, and he came over he tried to get the back of my dog's neck. It looked like he was trying to throw him or bite him or something....he made one little nick on my arm." Nigro has complained to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. He says a deputy failed to respond to his call for help. Kevin Doll, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, said deputies are not trained or properly equipped to deal with aggressive dogs. He adds that Nigro called only after the dog was seized by Animal Control. Doll said the Sheriff's Office always responds to a life threatening emergency. Nigro is not convinced. "I wanted a police officer to come and make sure the dog is contained in a home, and that the homeowner is aware that the aggressive dog is out on the streets and could possibly kill somebody." The dog's owner did not answer the door. According to Animal Control, the dog has been surrendered. | ||||||||

| Oh my gosh! That is just horrible. Pit bulls get a bad rape. For a dog to be that aggressive, something is happening to him. Maybe he is being trained for dog fighting or abused? People make dogs that way. What a shame. The owner of the dog should be held down and let the dog attack him for awhile. What happened to your neighbors dog, Jason? | ||||||||
