| OMG we lost another one! Monkees Singer Davy Jones Dies | ABC News Blogs - Yahoo! News
Lets see how much we hear about this! I say we lower the flags, interrupt programs on TV, Review his life in detail, drag out all the dirty laundry. Just kidding everyone. Had to post after the Whitney fiasco.

| He will only be a blip on the media's radar compared to Whitney. The article says he died of a heart attack, so I wonder why they're investigating it. I wish they would just let him rest in peace. I have fond memories of The Monkees and can hear that theme song right now in my head.

| I'm sure it will be just a blip, dying of a heart attack is no big deal, Neither is living a uneventful private life, free of all kinds of scandals. I never heard any smug news about him. I grew up listening to the music and watching the show on TV. Seemed like a really great person. My condolences to his family. http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/stop-th...230101900.html

| That one is actually a loss (unlike some others).

| I never was a big fan of the Monkees, but I have a friend that is and she is really sad about it. I think he was 66? That's considered kind of young to have a heart attack. I guess that is why they are investigating it.

| oldsarge, I agree!! I have never heard so much hoop-la over someone passing as we did over Houston. I think it was due to several things: black history month, grammy night, black woman and good singer. I think the whole thing was way overdone though, don't you? Poor old Davy Jones can just rest in peace. I loved the monkeys.

| For all you superstitious types who believe that deaths arrive in three's, here you go. Yesterday Ronnie Montrose died. Another performer who some of you may not be aware of. Good old classic rock of the 70's! I don't believe in the whole death comes in three's theory. I never heard anyone put a time limit on it, so I guess it could have happened within the year or a month. For all you Montrose fans out there and his family, you have my condolences.
