Default Thanks to All Forum Members

I recently spent some time on the 24 hour campfire forum. Yikes! Talk about unfriendly people who don't know much, that site produced 11 pages of bad news in 2 hours. Some of the technical discussions about gun, hunting and fishing are pretty good. The political stuff is downright scary. I have never been so happy to be back on this forum. Thanks to everyone on OB for being so reasonable and thoughtful.

I wouldn't have even registered here and participated if my reading earlier posts hadn't convinced me that the people here are civilized.

Back in the chatroom days I looked into a number of rooms dedicated to hunting and fishing and found many of them to be cliquish and full of self-important braggarts. Only a few places did I find ladies and gentlemen to associate with.

I appreciate the atmposphere and camaraderie here very much.

I think that's why this site is so great. The Character of people here is quite unique. All types of opinions being thrown out with no loss of respect to one another. Yes we have our heated debates, but know when to call it quits and move on without dissension.

Years ago when I first started using the internet I found a hunting site called Monster Muleys.
It was my first discussion board experiance and I loved it so I registered and made an initial "hello" post.
Came back the next day to find several pages of personal attacks and banned by the owner....WTF??
It was a long time before I would even visit a messageboard after that.
Jason has done a great job putting this together for us.

I really enjoy this place too and would never venture far. Where else do you actually get greetings on your intro post? I felt welcomed here from my first post. I also thoroughly enjoy all the personalities around here. Some of you remind me of my smarta$$ pawpaw. I love my pawpaw!

Most of us are pretty normal....except those preppers. They're nuttier than squirrel turds.

Which is why we gather here as well. I also believe that this is one of the better forums out there and that greatly depends on the people.
