Amen to that! Do onto as you wish they do to you (including animals)! Shame on these idiots for taking it out on a breed of animals. Owners and breeders need to be punished not the dogs. Pit bulls are not born "fighters".

I love pit bulls and we have one in the house. When I first found out I was pregnant everyone and their brother asked if we were going to "get rid of her", our response was absolutley not. She is part of the family and I lov the breed. Mine is entirely to lazy to violent, and she is great with the kids.

I can't believe they wouldn't at least let the dog be adopted out to somewhere else. There were many families who were willing to take him.

I love pitbulls and I hate breed specific legislation. There is absolutely nothing wrong with pits as a breed. The problem is owners who don't know how to take care of them. We have a pit and I have never had a sweeter or smarter dog, and she has been known to run off a few people that didn't belong here too.
