For CCW (everyday carry) I carry a J-Frame S&W in the winter and a .38 Davis derringer during summer in my front pants pocket.
While hunting horseback 1911 I custom built for myself.

I agree with stick I don't carry rather it be backpacking or in town. Feel perfectly safe in both places without. However hike your own hike responsible carry doesn't brother me at all. However there are those that shouldn't be allowed to even carry a 2 inch pocket knife lol.

I carry a Glock 36 (.45 caliber) daily, but I am looking for something a little smaller for the summer months since I like my shorts and tank tops and the Glock tends to print.

The Kel-tec .380 is somewhat thinner .798" but you have to downsize to the .380 instead of your .45. I don't think I would want to go down to a .32 or .25 to get smaller.

I just came back from camping this weekend. We went shooting and I got to shoot a gun for the first time ^^ Very fun. and I want to own one..I shoot a 9mm, 44 revolver, and this big gun called a "house cleaner" my friend say lol it is a short double-barrel 12 gauge shotgun. you flick the barrel down and load in the ammunition that way instead of on the side! I thought very neat ^^ to think guns scared me..i had a very big adrenaline rush..it was fun!

Glad you had a good time Tomo_Tsu! I love shooting. Yep, 12 gauge double barrelled shot gun is most certainly a housecleaner! I am thinking of looking into a revolver for CCW, but I am not sure yet.

Thanks for the recommendation Grandpa I will look into it. I don't mind dropping down in caliber now that my aim has gotten so much better. I'll still probably carry the 36 for the winter months though.
